Alternative
The site that stopped being touched

A contractor gets a WordPress site in 2022. It works. Two years later the agency is gone, the page builder needs a paid update, three plugins conflict, and the contact form has been silently failing for months.

Nobody did anything wrong. That is simply what a stack of thirty plugins does over time when no one is paid to watch it.

A WordPress alternative with nothing to maintain

WordPress runs a large share of the web for good reasons: it is free, it does everything, and every developer alive has touched it. If you have someone maintaining it, it is hard to beat.

The problem is what happens when nobody does. Updates, plugin conflicts, a page builder that changes its licensing, a security patch nobody applied. A generated Vantix site has none of that surface, because there is nothing to update.

What WordPress does well

Ecosystem. Whatever you need, someone has built it, and any developer can pick the site up tomorrow. WooCommerce is a serious shop platform, and for content-heavy sites with many editors the admin is still excellent.

If you already have a maintenance arrangement that works, staying is the cheaper decision.

Where Vantix is the better fit

  • Nobody is paid to keep it updated, and nobody is going to be.
  • You want the site to be fast without a caching plugin and a CDN subscription.
  • You want changes to take minutes rather than a support ticket.
  • You need to state where the data lives.

Frequently asked

Can I move my WordPress content across?

Describe the site and the pages get rebuilt. Bulk-importing hundreds of blog posts is not something the builder does today — worth knowing before you decide.

What about WooCommerce?

You can connect an existing WooCommerce shop and build a storefront against it, keeping the catalogue where it is.

Do I still need hosting?

No. Publishing puts it on European infrastructure under your own domain.
